I don't know much, but I do know that at least two of these people are definitely not wearing kilts!! That being said, I wish me & one of my 35's were going to this meet, but until I can get JM 35 to do house calls, I'm not going anywhere for a while. Stuck valves are not your friends!

Hi Bob, I would like to be there in New Windsor to help you swap engines in that '35 sedan when you get ready to do that. Maybe we can get 'Reds' there that day as well. As you can see in the picture attached...he and Jeff have become very good a snatching '35 FH engines out with the transmission still attached. That hand cranking load leveler made the job easy that day once we found a good working engine hoist. It would be nice to have your car road worthy for the '13 GNM in Lake Tahoe. There is a big tour being planned to drive these old Fords from Pennsylvania to Lake Tahoe, Nevada for that GNM. I have signed on to do that one
. The picture that Vic put up is not the Scottish guy I was referring to. The one i was talking about wore a plaid hat with a red ball on top and he had red hair along with a lot of grey hair . I believe he was Italian posing as a Scotsman .Ken, sorry about the hijacking of your original post

We are leaving tuesday morning at 5am and hope to get there around 3pm. I am trailering my car. If I get sleepy while driving I keep Hershey Chocolate with Almonds candy bars handy that helps me stay alert and works very well. When I was in the service I was driving across United States to Calif. and with no sleep I stop at a rest area to walk around and wash my face so I could stay awake. A truck driver gave me some Hershey Chocolate with Almonds and boy did that help me stay awake driving. Still do that today when driving long trips. You might try this if you have that problem getting sleepy driving.

Just loaded the car in the trailer, checked all the tire pressures, and am getting ready to turn in. We'll be pulling out sometime in the morning hopefully arriving mid-day Monday.
Bob T, and JM 35, I'm always up for getting my hands greasy. I have Fridays free until the semester starts, but maybe we should start a new thread. -VeryTangled |

Dad and I are embedded in Asheville, it's 10pm local. We had an easy drive from MD. We made about 500 miles today.
Tomorrow we'll arrive, hopefully before noon. We're gonna check out the location for the swap meet so we can be ready for that on Tuesday AM. We've got lots of '36 parts so come and get 'em boys! -VeryTangled |

Vic, you should have held the camera a little lower, that girl with the black hair was very cute. I almost forgot to look at the cars. Hope to see you up here in August, Chuck.

. I was hoping to get a shot at that set of original Ardun heads, one of those Columbia rears, or maybe some of that speed equipment for early 21 stud engines.

One of the 'features' is that you can get an 'event photo' of your car made into such things as a throw rug. These two ladies were heading up the photo ops. I turned the table on them and snapped their photo, then took one of our car which will probably be just as nice as theirs. We'll see.
