Hello Barners,
I have just found a Town Sedan De Luxe 1931 one owner, Win 44772*** orig engine On Mr. Steve Pluckers side, i can se the engine is from 03.23.31. but the text say " Omitted Engine" what does that mean??? ,and low miles 40500..( 65000 KM).. The colour is the orig. and interior is also orig, but a lot of mouses have lived there in the winters.. And it is not so fine... No rust holes, And the car have sit since 1962 - 2008. after 2008 it be moved to another place, and there it have been since.. The engine is running, but the head had a bad scar after a winter and not enough antifreeze liquid.. So i have to try and weld it...I try to send som pic. but the imageprogram told me i have virus, and can not upload pic... i try again tomorrow... Maybe it goes, here is a try

Clean it up, make it safe, place seat covers over the seats and have fun!

That must be a fantastic experience! I think we all dream about finding a car like that - hope you are able to bring it back to life.

Great find Plind!
OK...The "omitted numbers"...There was a lot of "omitted numbers" from the list of Model A engine numbers that were not used here in the USA. Ford sent these "omitted numbers" overseas for use over there. In March of 1931, 30,000 engine numbers were sent to Europe. These numbers were never used here in the states to my knowledge. There was a total of 143,992 numbers which were omitted from the USA useage during the 4 years of production. Pluck
