Not too many years ago I was at a Steam Show in Engelhart, Ontario & they had a set up like this only much heavier & lower to test the skill of the steam tractor drivers. I tried it with my T coupe & it was not easy but a lot of fun.

They ahd a shorter one at the 100th anniversary for the T games as well. I enver could get mine to balance. But I took 3rd in the stopping contest.

Reading the caption of that picture makes me wonder how many modern drivers today would argue with that statement about simple controls.

Dallas Model A Club used to help with this activity at their car games. However, Insurance Companies are trying to squash the fun out of the game playing.

Here is a picture from a few years back attempting this myself. I got it to balence for about 4 seconds.
