Clamshell seal
I've seen ads for a one-piece composition seal to replace the two pieces of cork used in halves of the "clamshell" which holds the torque tube bell to the rear of the transmission. Has anyone used these? Results? Better than the stock cork seals? I have the transmission out of my '46 Tudor and would like to replace the seal with the most durable available. TIA

Re: Clamshell seal
Go with the 1 piece felt seal that Roy Nacewicz has. I've had a felt seal in my '46 for over 20 years and holding well. The cork seals are junk.
