Default 59AB in a '40

I'm putting a mildly built 59 AB (4" crank, dual 94's, dual exhaust) with 10" clutch into my '40. From the experience of guys who have done this, did you find that you still needed anti-chatter rods? Thanks for any response.

If you have provisions to bolt them in place, I would suggest doing it. JMO

if your keeping the torque tube there a must .there primary job is to transmit the pushing force from the rear axle to the chasis other wise the force would be put on the motor mounts . which are not designed for thar purpose.they are a must have.no ifts or buts

Yes, you must use them. My '40 is setup as you suggest.

Ford did away with the steady rods in '41 or '42 because of an improved transmission mount, and new clutch linkage intoduced in '40.
