Default wood cab mount reliefs?

guys on the wood cab mounts for my 38' what were the 3/4" dia. x 1/2 deep holes for that were on the topside of the wood mount? were the reliefs that are 3/4" deep x 1 5/8" long for ?, mine came in a box so i have no idea, thanks.

"1938" cabs used a carryover floor and sill design from 1937. The blocks for those cabs have reliefs on top identical to the 1935-37. "1939" cabs used the same floor and sills as a 1940-41(7), the blocks for those cabs do not have the reliefs. I dont know when the floor change happened, early or late 1938 or 1939.
