Default Weepy Gas tank valve

Seems like I have to replace my gas tank valve about every two years. My current one is two years plus and has started weeping again. I bought this one from Snyders. Who is making a good under tank valve and is there any new improved ones out there?

Are you using the screen that fits in the top of the valve?
It's the first line of filtering to keep junk from scratching the valve taper.

Like Tom said, if rust in getting into the valve it will score the valve and Warrantee or no warrantee it will leak again.

That's why I use the Hardware Store needle type valve. Fits PERFECT & costs only $3.99.

My gas tank valve is at least 12 years old, and has never leaked even a small amount.

agreed with these 2. Is it leaking out of the stem or leaking by allowing fuel down the line?

if its out of the stem im pretty sure its got packing nut you can snug up a bit and should fix that.

The vendors sell a fuel valve reconditioning kit. I've used them and happy with the results.

I bought a rebuild kit and went to rebuild one of my old tank valves. I found something I was not expecting. A spring loaded o-ring. Never seen one like this, It has no packing. Anybody seen one like this before?
