my '34 pickup for sale
Amos.jpgHello folks. I've talked about selling Amos for some time for health reasons, and the time is now. Price is $28K. I've placed an ad in the swap meet section and figured I'd mention it here too. Amos is a nice truck that runs and drives well. Professional rebuild on 21 stud flathead in 2012 with ISKY Max 1 cam, Johnson lightweight lifters, stainless valves....not many miles since that time. Front end and steering redone. 3.55 gears. Front and rear springs replaced, and the truck sets up the way it is supposed to. Most of this truck is correct as can be, and most of it has been rebuilt/refreshed/repainted and wrenched on during the 20 years I've owned it. Correct Stromberg 48 and correct fuel pump both recent rebuilds. Recent annual oil change and coolant change. Following is link to youtube video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I749lk39YYQ When you open the youtube video, you can click on my name (Jeff Moss) on the left side under the video and my page will open which has a few more videos of the truck for your viewing pleasure. You can look through old Fordbarn pix of it, or watch a youtube video from a drive just the other day. If you key in 1934 Ford pickup Amos into google search you can see some other videos and pix of our truck. Brakes work but need major adjustment, everything else pretty dang good. Paint (late 80's) still pretty good but some chips here and there and checking in a couple spots. It is a very nice 5 footer though. One very similar sold on Mecum in September for $62,000. https://www.mecum.com/lots/522011/1934-ford-pickup/ That one had new paint but I'd be surprised if it ran as good as Amos. I am no longer able to give this truck the care it deserves and it really needs to be driven. A number of you guys are familiar with my old truck. Perhaps one of you would enjoy taking on that role. I may have jumbled this message all up by going back in to edit, but you'll get the idea. Thanks! Last edited by mrmoose; 05-16-2023 at 07:15 AM. |

Re: my '34 pickup for sale
I'm sorry you are no longer able to keep your truck up the way it needs, but if you choose the right buyer, it will live a long life with the new owner.

Values are changing with demographics. Drive on a Freeway after 10 pm and all you'll see are 'tuner' cars racing. Newc

Re: my '34 pickup for sale
I had a 34 PU back in the 50s that I used as a daily driver, paid
s 40 bucks for it from a guy in New Hampshire . Had a 59a and Juice brakes on it. Wish I never sold it. Gramps |

Re: my '34 pickup for sale
Your ad might do better with some more photos (the video assures us it runs and stops, but not much else), such as the cab interior, bed, front end, and under the hood (both sides).

Re: my '34 pickup for sale
I remember when moose got this truck on ebay, 20 years ago now ???
I think he would get his dollars if put at public auction. Not for sale by owner.

Re: my '34 pickup for sale
Thanks for the feedback folks...and yes Al, I did pick that truck up on e-bay 20 years ago...nuttin' wrong with your memory. I'll be posting it on Facebook marketplace soon and explore E-V8 club, and maybe find a way to get it to an auction. May even put it up on e-bay, who knows. I always appreciated all the help and advice I got here, that's for sure. btw if you google search "1934 Ford pickup Amos" you'll be able to see plenty of pix of the truck and other videos as well. Also, if you watch one of the youtube videos, you can click on my name (Jeff Moss) just below the screen on the left which will open up my youtube page which has some other videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9yV6yubmto

Re: my '34 pickup for sale
Jeff; Go to the front page & scroll down & you will find Jalopy Journal auction site. You can put your truck on there. It is run by the Big Boss Ryan, so you won't be gouged.
