'39 bottom door seals
Bought a pair of Drake's bottom door seals for my '39 sedan. They don't come with any instructions and my doors were bare, so never saw any originals on the door. I can't figure out how they are to be installed. There are no holes in them for screws or clips or anything. Anyone installed these things that can shed some light on the problem. Thank you.

Re: '39 bottom door seals
Thanks for the pictures. I have the seals that go on the rocker panels mounted. The ones I'm having difficulty with are the ones that mount right on the bottom of the door itself. They look like they should mount under the edge of the door panel. Maybe I'll have to call Drakes and see what they say.

I do not think that a door seal goes on this car. The rocker panel seal is it.

No seals on my doors bottom. Only the seal on the rocker.

Re: '39 bottom door seals
Problem resolved. What I thought were rubber seals to go on the door were simply replacement rubbers that go under the stainless steel piece that screws to the rocker panel. It would be a real bugger to replace the rubber on the original stainless piece as they are crimped between two pieces of metal. Thanks to all for advice. I guess I don't know as much about '39 fords as I thought I did.

Actually it's easy. Just pry it open with a screw driver, insert the new rubber, and crimp it with pliers.
