Default 35 Hinge Pin Mirrors by Drake

I'm going to buy a couple of hinge pin mirrors for my 35 convertible sedan
and I notice Drake offers a straight arm and a curved arm. Would one of
these arms be considered more correct for a 35 vehicle?

You may want to get a copy of the V8 club 35-36 restoration book available through the Early Ford V8 Club web site. The straight arm mirror.

Be careful: the straight arm outside mirror that is usually advertised fits only pickup and does not fit car.

For questions like yours of correctness, the ‘35-‘36 book mentioned above is the source to rely on. Not to put down word of mouth advice, but the book is the real deal.

The original '35 arm was straight and the '36 arm was curved.

Thanks to all for your timely responses. When I'm ready to buy I'll question
Joe in Uxbridge (my go to guy for reproduction items) about whether or not
the Drake version of the straight arm mirror will fit the car as well as the
truck. It sounds to me like a slight difference in the hinge sizes?

My '35 came with the '36 style curved arms. Its not right, but they position just fine. But visibility with them sucks. The mirrors are small and so is the field of view. I went on ebay and found a set of convex mirrors with the same 1/4" stem mount. They work much better.
