Question 1932 Standard Roadster Side Curtains

Hello,
Looking for blueprints or a pattern for a set of side curtains for a 1932 standard roadster.
Would side curtains from a 1931 standard roadster work?
Does anyone have a recommendation for an upholster who makes them?
Thanks... Chris

If you already have the top installed, a competent local upholstery shop should be able to fabricate the side curtains to your specs.

It's getting harder and harder to find upholsterers at least around here.

I have a buddy with a 2006 Mustang convertible and he can't even find anybody to change THAT out for him

It seems like a lot of folks that are from Mexico are pretty talented in that area. Hope one of them sets up shop here, they'll have more business than they can ever handle.

If the engineering drawings survived, you can obtain copies of them for your side curtains from the Benson Ford Research Center in Dearborn. You will need the part numbers, which are in the '32 body parts catalog. (Please let me know if you do not have a copy of that catalog.)

If you cannot find someone nearby to make your curtains, Jay of jljohnsonupholstery.com in Hartville, OH has photos and dimensions of an original set of '32 deluxe roadster side curtains and the only difference is the cloth material color and the absence of provision for a post-mounted outside rear view mirror in the standard curtains. You will need to provide paper patterns to locate the various fasteners on the curtains as there is sufficient variation in the fit of top bows and irons relative to the sockets in the doors to require some customization of the fastener locations.

Sorry, but it turns out that I do not have that catalog with me. If you haven't obtained the part numbers by early April, I can provide them at that time.
