Default help

I must be getting real old can someone tell me how the transmission in my 55 ford is held on the crossmember. I have the crossmember with the flat rubber pad but I don't remember how it's secured I have a 3speed O.D.. Does it just sit on the pad any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ralph

Ralph,
The flat pad is secured to the transmission at the part of the pad where the rubber is thick. there should be an elongated, shallow U-shaped piece of metal with a hole on either end to match up to your transmission mount boss. Then, there are two offset holes at the end of the pad that bolt to the transmission crossmember itself.
