Default My brother and I picked up a couple 1934 Ford pickups parked in 1956 over the weekend

These were advertised on craigslist as "best offer by Sunday gets them". I emailed in an offer of what I would pay (very fair) and the next day I received a phone call stating that if I was willing to pay that kind of money for them, come and get them. I knew my brother wanted a 32-34 pickup, and I could see they looked pretty decent so we drove 400 miles one way to get em.
The story is, a gentleman bought these in 1956 and was going to restore them later in life but it never happened. He passed away late last year and his wife wanted them gone. One was missing the engine, trans and rear end but very decent shape, the other is mostly complete but has some rust. My brother bought the less complete one, the complete one will be going up for sale soon. Neat old trucks, now my dad, brother and I all own 33-34 pickups!!

This is the one my brother bought. We put a rear end under it and put the front sheet metal on it. He washed it up and it looks great. Will be a neat lil hauler!

Great finds! Two more released from captivity and will once again be cared for.

Man, I'm bleeding to death here through my eye balls. How many times has anybody ever seen 32-34 rear fenders in "cherry" or close to it condition like that ? What a neat pr. of goodies those trucks are !

Yeah, seeing those rear fenders in the sales pics sealed the deal for me. I need two rear fenders for my 33 pickup, so I sold the red/gray one to my brother less rear fenders (but I have a halfway decent set I gave him). It is insane how strait that lil truck is.

OK, just how many old cars/trucks have you found in the last year? Seems like every other week you find a new one.

Surprised Bob, "the Duck" or Dennis has not started tooling up for those years of rear fenders. Should be a snap compared to other shapes that get pressed. Seems like a few $$ could be made ?
