Re: Again
Can't understand this. He's too ornery and cranky (at times) to let something fester within.
Prayers going out for you Bill ! ! Hang in there. Paul |

Re: Again
I hope Bill will feel better very soon! I had a bout with C-diff when I was in the hospital and was talking too many antibiotics for too long. It's very nasty. The only good thing is, because the hospital staff treats it as if you have leprosy, you get to have a private room and bathroom.

Re: Again
a fecal transplant may be the way to go which has a very good success rate. that option is being looked into right now

Re: Again
For some of us that suffer from the fear of the unknown, this procedure Mitch has suggested they might use is not to be feared. If you research or Google this medical treatment / process you will find that the success rate is traditionally over 90% especially in aged adults who have suffered multiple relapses. Hopefully our prayers will handle the extra 10 % quite nicely. Get well soon Bill. Wayne

Re: Again
Bill is in great spirits and thrilled that they approved him to get the transplant. the POOP is getting shipped from NY and they should receive it tomorrow. i offered to send mine but was declined i guess they need to overprice it like any med... then they'll get it done ASAP.. Crosscut suggested to post an address for folks to send him get well cards to the hospital but i feel at this point he may not be there to long GOD willing.. so lets play it out for now
thanks all |

I have never heard of that treatment. Hope it's Bill's cure.

Re: Again
Thanks for keeping us up to esteem Mitch !
If you google it you will see that it's is relatively inexpensive with very few side affects. I was of the opinion that the donor was usually a relative but obviously not. The gratifying part is the significant success rate which is suggested to be 90 %. Wayne[/I] |
