Default Valve guide retainers

What kind of tool is needed to remove the valve guide retainers. Also are there any laying around that a man could buy? Thanks Jim

I made a hook out of some steel rod, bent a 90 degree in one end and ground the tip down until a nice fit in the retainer hole. Cost= zilch.
