Default Stubborn and mislead Shay owner

Hi Fellas..

Thought you'd like to see the latest on ebay..

While I am not not affiliated with the seller or buyers in any way, thought it was interesting that this person is convinced their Shay is a rare 28 roadster.. And wanted to retaliate when gently informed of their error.

For your viewing pleasure..

Is a Shay already old enough for historical plates?

You know you are getting old when you see cars with historical plates that you remember brand new!

Well, it IS a best offer auction... I think we should all offer them $1 for it stating that the offer might seem a bit low because the car isn't exactly advertised correctly. Maybe after 50 or 60 one dollar offers they might get the point.

I sent a question asking if the body is steel or fiberglass. That should put its authenticity to the test

AACA allows that car to be judged at their National Meets. Sure we think of them as crap but it is another membership for AACA. Just walk on by, nothing to look athere.

I actually like Shays.. nice looking, relatively modern and a styling tip of the hat to the model a.. Just worrisome when it is represented as the real deal, and not as a copy. Hope a shay fan finds the car and gives it a good home and the current owner learns about what he has for sale.

LOL maybe he should be reported for listing something that isn't really what he says it is. I would think his title would tell the real year of the car and wouldn't say 1928.

Whoa there guy! Step back a second! I got a different take to suggest. The statements at the bottom of the listing address the owner as DELLA I looked and didn't see a name mentioned in the listing but is it not possible that the listing party is a widow selling a passed loved ones toys and as such there is a fair bit of emotion involved with the sale.

If that is in fact the case it is a widow, rubbing her nose in her ignorance is cruel bullying of the woman. When and if that time comes for us will our loved ones know enough to list and represent our toys fairly and correctly, not to mention get a fair price?

Show some compassion!............................ or not after all it is fiberglass!

I offered to take it off her hands for $1, since it wasn't really a 1928 Model A Ford. I'll probably get reported to the eBay cops too!

Hey Doug,
25 years or older for historic that's 1987 and older, I graduated from Rider in Lawrenceville in '87 OUCH. Can't think of too many 80's cars that I would consider "historic" Saab maybe
