Default Green Bible/Orange Bible?

Just picked up a Ford Chassis Parts and Accessories Catalogue for passenger cars 1928 thru 1948 and trucks 1928 thru 1947 dated April 1949 at a garage sale for $20.00 but the cover is Orange. The title seems exactly the same as the "Green Bibles" I've seen advertised. Did Ford print the book with 2 different cover colors or is the one I have different in some way than the so called Green Bible? Thanks.

Isn't that the Canadian issue?

The Canadian manuals, etc., for the most part, have more diagrams, photos, etc. and are in more demand. If you compare the two you will say, "WOW".

I used to have a copy of the Green Bible on CD but my computer crashed so I can't compare what I have with it but there is nothing that leads me to believe that it is a Canadian manual. Regardless, thanks to all for the info. It will sit on the shelf next to the '50's Motors Manuals I have acquired over the years and I'm sure sometime it will be very useful.

I have the same orange cover manual that I bought at the Petit Jean, AR swap meet probably 35 years ago. I don't believe that it is Canadian. It has a 1949 copyright date.

This is another great Canadian book relating to the Early Ford V8, titled "Fast Moving Parts Catalogue 1928-1949".

51504bat: If you what a copy of the Green Book on your computer go to ..........

http://norgv8club.org/all-dcouments-...parts-diagrams

It was scanned and posted by the Northern Ohio Regional Group #20 of the Early Ford V8 Club of America.

I don't know what year-edition it is but if you are using it for you personal use you can download the 8 books plus the Index Book, all in *.pdf format.
