Default What do you think?

38 ford standard,rebuilt 97 ,new fuel pump,new flex line. Starts good,idles good,revs good.Pull it out on the road,acts like it isn't getting any gas.What do you think?

Float needle sticking closed or level too low? Are you sure of the amount of fuel in the tank? Drain it and look for crud like 47COE suggested. Long shot but try taking off the gas cap, I had one that didn't vent and acted like what you describe.

Likely another case of the fuel line between the tank and the firewall filled with rust caused by alcohol in the gas. The line is only a 1/4" ID, and anything that impedes flow will cause your problem. When you go past idle, demand is greater than the line can deliver. It took me a while to find this out, as replacing the line used to be a rare occurrence.

Thank you for your input,I'll try your suggestions and give you a full report. I don't want to over analyze ,but could it be late timing?

The long shot worked took the gas cap off & she runs like a scalded ape! Clogged vent,I guess.

There are vented and non vented gas caps. Maybe you have the latter but should have the former.
