Duplicate Key
I have what I believe is a reproduction pop out ignition switch with only one key. I would like a duplicate key. The key says "Made in Spain" on one side and has a diamond with a 'W" in it and the numeral 1 on the other side. Any ideas where to find one? The local hardware store was no help.

Re: Duplicate Key
Found this on another site.
I would like to add my information about MADE IN SPAIN popout switchs for the 28- 31 Ford...I have 2 ..1 seems to be older and has a removeable back plate with a diamond with a W in it and a number 1 printed on it ...I found that the key blank from a1951 thru 64 ford will fit it. ILCO HFD6 or OFD6....The second one looks like new has a removeable back plate with nothing printed on it but has a 0 on the part that the key goes into....I found that a key blank for the original Ford popout ford switch will fit this and is sold by Snyders and Bratton Ford parts......I bought these popout switches used with one key each but want more keys for each.....It seems like the key codes are 0-9 on the ones MADE IN SPAIN.....They both work fine.....Hope this info will help someone....George |

With that Spanish made pop-out you might want consider replacing the switch rather than finding extra keys. Sorry.

Re: Duplicate Key
M2M
Sounds like it would be a good idea to carry a spare switch!

Do a search on Spanish pop-out switches and you'll see why.
