Pie Town, N.M. is a place I haven't been through in many, many years. Used to run through there a lot back in the 80's & 90's. Thanks for sharing, Ryan.

Its a '34 you can barely see the detail of the wide rear molding below the window.

I've had this pic saved for a while... It really epitomizes my feelings towards old cars... especially trucks...
they were USED... for work and play...

Now days you see almost every restored vehicle... OVER restored... or just generally gussied up more then they were in the past.... whitewalls extra spares...etc....

I thoroughly enjoy seeing them when they look "real"

Thanks for the picture, Ryan! Brings me back to my "Yoot"! If I had to guess, I'd say that it was originally a 35 MM slide! Dad bought a 35 mm Argus camera back in the mid 50's that beats the heck out of the digital crap we have today! I am in the process of converting several 35 mm slides into the world of digital even as we we speak that will blow your mind! I'll post a few of them when I finish!

Ryan, thanks for the excellent image. Makes you wish you could drop-by for some coffee and conversation. Russell Lee was one of several photojournalists, who included Walker Evans, that were hired by the Farm Security Administration to document life in America in the late '30's. His pictures of Pie Town, NM, are among his best known. Richard

Photo looks like it was taken "yesterday". The truck looks like 1932-34 pickup. Can't see the hood/radiator to tell. Note how tall the men are in photo; those trucks were not very "big" as compared to today's pickups. THANKS for sharing!!!
