Re: ID rear axle
'angle' brackets for radius rods... How many 35's had that?
I'd vote for (late) 32 to 34. But, the brakes don't 'look right'. So, I guess that is no vote, at all. |

Re: ID rear axle
Yes, '35 had 'angle' brackets for radius rods. I'm with APDAVE.

Re: ID rear axle
Thanks everyone. I will narrow my search to the 35.

Re: ID rear axle
Narrow your search to where you took those pictures and you got it.

Quote:
After dismantling a oouple dozen '35 to '36 rear axles and totally rebuilding ~ 6, it becomes easy to ID them from 50 to 100 feet away.

Re: ID rear axle
Thanks to all of you. I would like to get this to someone that could use it but living in the most northwestern state, shipping is really expensive. Can these just be wrapped well in heavy bubble wrap or do they have to be palleted. I could also dismantle it and sell the parts. I hate to send it off to the scrap yard.

Re: ID rear axle
Do you have the radius rods? The '35-'36 rods go for the big bucks ($200-$250 for nice, un-pitted ones). You could probably do well parting-out all but the brakes......if in reasonable shape. DD

Re: ID rear axle
I would also suggest parting it out unless you find someone in your neck of the woods who needs it and can come to you to pick it up. I have mailed most every part of several 35 rears all over the USA. Even mailed some 35-36 rear bones to folks in Europe.
Never take any Ford parts to the scrap yard...it's known to have caused some folks many years of bad luck
