Battery Tray is Open on 2 sides????
Hey Guys, I am making a battery hold down for the top of my battery. My tray is out of the car and 2 sides are completly open. The other 2 side have a horizontal band half way up. I think my new Optima 6 volt may fall out. Is the a normal tray???? Thanks Bill

I think there is a special box made for the Optima battery. I know there's a special top. A stock A battery tray is open on all four sides, no horizontal bands.

Re: Battery Tray is Open on 2 sides????
My Optima hasn't fallen out --it must still be there, the car starts, I had a hold down made of angle iron --it was made for the group 1 battery, it catches enough of the Optima to hold it in place for 14 years so far.
to know if yours is a normal stock tray we need pictures, the normal tray has a bottom, and only covers 2 corners , |
