ISO BB-7043 Oil baffle
Good afternoon everybody,
I’m at the tail end of putting together a T8/T9 4 speed transmission for my ‘34 V8 BB truck. But I’ve had no luck finding part (BB-7043) “Oil Baffle” for the main input gear bearing. I called Vanpelt but unfortunately they are out of stock indefinitely and weren’t sure of any leads.. I’ve also been unable to cross reference any part numbers. Does anybody have this part (BB-7043) or know where to track one down? I attached a photo for reference Also, I noticed the 3 speed and 4 speed trans used the same input gear bearing (7025). Is there any chance the 3 speedy oil baffle (B-7040) would work? Any help or info is greatly appreciated! |

Re: ISO BB-7043 Oil baffle
The 3 speed bearing is B-7025 and the 4 speed is BB-7025.

Looks like the BB-7043 oil slinger was used in commercial Ford transmissions from 1939 through 1947 and in Ford trucks from 1929 through 1947.
