Default Project Model A engine wanted

City: Sandy
State: Oregon

First off I know very little about engines, I actually had to "google" the I am not a robot question to register for this forum.

That being said, I am looking for a model A engine to tinker with and learn on. I'm not concerned about engine numbers just that it has potential to live again. I hear that more than 5 million were produced and that I should be able to get my hands on one for not a ton of money.

Basically I'm looking for a ugly neglected hunk of metal that is sitting in somebodys garage or barn who wouldn't mind parting with it in exchange for cash.

Many thanks.

Ive got one that runs with a transmission attached but shipping would be astronomical.

I've got a couple and will be reasonable with you. I live just south of Olympia Washington, just off I-5. I have a Model B or two also.

Send a PM with you phone number, best time to call and I'll call you.

Steve

I have this one for sale. Not really a tnkerers engine, but one that can be put together reaonably and likely run for a long time. Rod

Hi Receo,

I have a couple of Model A engines (probably 1928 or 1929.) I'll donate one of them to your 'cause,' so to speak. The problem would be shipping of course, but there are folks going all over the place trying to promote the 'hobby' and maybe we can find someone heading from my direction towards yours that wouldn't mind picking one up and delivering it close enough to you. I'll go out sometime tomorrow and check out what I've got, snap a picture and try to email it to you. At the least, it will be something to start with.

Good luck,
John
