Temp Sensor unit
I have a 30 roadster on 32 frame rails with a 57 312 yblock with ECZ-G heads. The last couple of weeks I have been installing a 1941 Ford dash which has beeen a challenge on many levels. I want to use the stock 6 volt gauges with my 12 volt system. I have installed a voltage reducer for the gauges. All was going well until I tried to install a 6 volt sensor and found the hole is smaller. I have been running a mechanical Stewart Warner gauge. Do I need a 6 volt sensor and what sensor will fit? Thanks for the help

Re: Temp Sensor unit
You may want to check a sensor for a 54 or 55 Ford Y block as they were six volt. When you start the engine the first time, try to have a hand held temp sensor handy to check the electric gage. The hand held infra red sensors are also handy for finding a bad cylinder, as a cool exhaust isnt working as hard as the hot ones.

Re: Temp Sensor unit
You will nead the bushing from the earlier head. If you no longer have access to it new ones are available from any Thunderbird supply shop.
