Default Posting priviledges

A friend of mine has a nice 32 frame for sale in the Swap Meet section, I tried to add a little information about it, and was denied. What did I do wrong? Rich

You can't post to a thread in the swap meet. Only the original poster can. Buyers are supposed to PM or email the seller rather than posting comments in the thread.

Hi Everyone, Deuce Man, I don't hang out in the Swap Section a lot but there was a change to the posting policy over there...

I see a 'sticky' at the top of the Swap Section.

" Trying To Reply To A Classified Ad? We no longer allow replies to classified ads. In order to make a purchase or ask a question, simply send a private message to the seller. You can do so by clicking on the seller's username and then clicking "Send Private Message."

Thanks and enjoy the forum!

Ryan"

It may be possible for the original poster to edit his messages though.

Hey Rich, I just gave Mike's frame the three day bump to the top. Kinda surprised no inquiries yet. Too bad the only picture that posted was the worst of the bunch. Here's another one.

IMO, Lee the frame is overpriced. It has the wrong front cross member, a bad center member, along with a patched up firewall.
Good frames here, go for 2500.

Well its a roller and has a roadster title. For $2500 were your at does that include the extra stuff or juat a bare frame. Good papers are worth about a grand from what I have seen in the past

Personally, I don't see a 32 frame there. What I see is a butchered frame for a hot rod. Perhaps it might be better advertised on the hamb??? Me thinks this is the wrong audience. As for price, I'd let the hamb guys comment. A good, correct 32 frame in my area is about a 2500 item, but the hamb guys might go more for one that is modified as shown?? Paper is basically worth nothing in my area. It says in the ad that suspension not included, so I'm ignoring that. As for firewall, I can't comment because it's been so modified. I know a good original firewall, added to a good original frame, would justify the asking price. So, bottom line, I'm thinking 'no inquiries' means 'wrong audience'. JMO

So Rich, now you see why the Management eliminated "Posting Privileges" to classified ads.

Got it Lee. I was going to say that the firewall was originally on that orange blown ardun powered 32 roadster that Craig Jackson owns. Rich
