Truck Steering Box
I've just had a phone call from a guy looking for a steering box for a One Ton Jailbar truck. Did they have the same steering box as the the half tons, or the same as the larger truck?
Only spare one I have here is for a larger truck with the 4 spoke steering wheel, but I'm not sure whether a one tonner would have had this type? Cheers |

Re: Truck Steering Box
I restored a 39 1ton the steer box was exactly the same as the 37 car steering I fixed up for the hot rod project. In fact the front axle was no different except the heavy 6 bolt hubs, as the sedan frontend, shoes and backplate except a couple more spring leaves. Should have tried a wide 5 hub, just to see if spindle was the same but it wouldn't make sense as far as standardization go's.
