I got mine from Drake. The reason being I was told his are the best because they have a small lip on top for better seal. The one I got for my 40 had that and I got a good seal.Very well pleased.I am not sure about the other years, but I would think they are the same!

Will the lid not close flush on it? The one for my 48 was "thick" but it settled down eventually when compressed in the shut position . I now have a perfect seal with no leaks. Mine was from Carpenters. I must say my first one that was Argentine or something, that came with the car, was a crap fit in shape so I did not install that one.

I always set the lid on after installing the seal and stacking weight [phone books] on it and let it set for as long as possible. Days. takes the shape of the lid and seals well has been my experience.

THe above is exactly right. Close the lid and don't open it for a couple weeks or so and it will fit perfectly with no laks. Same applies to the door seals. Hard to close the doors, but the rubber conforms and will seal correctly thereafter.

Dont for get the lid has a vertical adjustment slots in the hinge, if the adjustment is off it will make the lid hard to close.
