I've got a "Whatz-zis?"
This may not even be automotive related but, this seemed to be a good place to maybe toss it out there for discussion. In 30 years of working on 'old cars', I've seen a lot of odd things but, I have no clue what this is. It was in a mixed bag of 'stuff' that was with a '25 T that I recently acquired. It appears to be some sort of press but, I can't see any function for it. The cardboard and tin container is threaded to match the base of the part. Like I said, I have NO clue. Maybe someone can shed light on this.

Re: I've got a "Whatz-zis?"
Back when I was a kid, my Dad had inner tube patches that he used something like this to clamp onto the tube, and then he set the patch on fire. When it went out in a minute or so, it was vulcanized right onto the tube. Those kind of patches never came loose or leaked- not like those pathetic glue-on patches you can only get now.
