Default Fords and Drones

Here is a video of my '34 roadster taken Saturday from a drone on the west side of the Lake Somerville (Texas) dam. The lake is flooded due to all of the rain and they say it won't get to normal until mid August or so.

I'm driving, my oldest son is in the passenger seat and my youngest son is in the rumble seat operating the drone.

I tried to discourage him for fear of radio interferance but let him talk me into it.

Cool every rumble seat should have a drone accessory.

What with painting the drone silver and keeping the sun behind it from the observed object, it is almost invisible. They are extremely quiet also. That's why they have been outlawed in certain areas.

That's a decent consumer drone. Not a bad operator either! I guess those video games have some merit in the new age .

Lake being flooded in Texas... Watch out California might invade! Ha ha.

Outside of the video posted.

I agree there needs to be some restrictions placed on them and everyday there is. It's amazing the height consumer level drones can achieve and the air time that can be traveled now. Flight paths, private property, crowds of people are all a huge liability issue.

Just fly at 5000 ft with a high tech camera and no one but the kid with the ham radio radar set will know it is there.

Nobody uses radio waves anymore.

Without pulling out a tinfoil hat ... it's some pretty cool stuff, certainly going to be around more and more. And these are just consumer level units.

That was cool! They had one flying over the Kingman Az. Fun Run car show back in May. Don't know if they filmed anything. It was a bit creepy.

The better drones have a gyroscope that stabilizes the camera so a shaky operator doesn't so show up on the picture. G.M.
