Default Info on paint for 38 standard

My 38 standard coupe does not have stainless but I have seen some that do. But it does have a yellow pen stripe. The car was green with black fenders. They did did not come painted this way did they? I plan on turning it into a 37 because of parts but I like the way it was painted.

A '38 Standard coupe with the stainless trim ( the early ones did not have it ) looks better than a '37. IMHO.
I have both models.

I like the look of the 38 just that I know where a ton of 37 stuff is.

Wouldn't mind buying the rear bumper from that '38.

That's not my car. Just a pic I found. I would love to keep mine a 38 but finding all the front end will be tough. I have the fenders and a 37 hood that I know is not the right one but most others will not. I have found a few 37 sedans that would be good cars for parts. I am going to try to get the body off the frame this weekend if time allows so I can blast the frame and start on the body.

I found this site for color codes, it might be useful. Has lots of years and makes/models.

My car must have been repainted at one time for it to have a green body black fenders and yellow pen stripes.
