I have something I planned to attend in Milwaukee on Saturday, but it doesn't begin until the afternoon, so I might have to make an early morning run to this.

I just wanted to second Vince remarks of the Outstanding Swap Meet and fund raising efforts for the Model A Museum in MI. by the IL MARC Club. The Ehrenhofer's, Mark and Val Maron and the IL MARC Club did an excellent job! This swap meet was like the one's you went to back in the 60's, 70's with NOS part on swap tables. Jim Sinclair

This was my first time attending and I really enjoyed myself. Brought home a couple of nicely priced treasures, saw some nice vehicles, and had some great conversations. The shop was impressive and it's nice to add another Model A resource to my list. Have some photos I hope to post later today.

A Big thank you goes out to all that came to the MAFFI Swap and helped support the Model A Museum. It was an incredible day, with incredible NOS parts, great friends, new and old and, a great kitchen again staffed by Lil' Val, Rosa and Big Jim.
A VERY, VERY special thanks goes out to Ken and Helen Ehrenhofer for all their support in holding this great event at your home, your efforts go with out saying above and beyond. Many thanks to the entire team that helped make this a reality and worked day and night to get ready. Our museum is now a reality because of supporters like all of you that help and believe in this lasting legacy of this great car and hobby we are all a part of. Saturday September 15th, we will present the MAFFI Board with our donation for this wonderful event. I cannot begin to thank all of you for taking the time and traveling to come and help support the museum and sell some great stuff. and wow what great stuff.. VINCE I forget to get a book from you....(hahah) Again thank you all!!! so so very much Mark Your Calendar, we're already planning next years swap!!!

I would like to thank all who attended and added to the success of this wonderful event. John Marshall showed up with a picture of the museum building almost finished. It looks just like the plan of the ford dealer and it is real cool. I have now logged in 50 years in this hobby and having this parts swap and raising money for the museum is our way of saying thank you for 50 years of fun and great memories like yesterday. We once again gave rides in fire trucks and Model T touring cars. If you stayed long enough we fired up the 1905 Holsman and gave rides in that also, what a kick.
I know we may have gained at least two new members for the club and sold at least 3 bricks for the walkway to the museum. Very late in the day two young guys showed up wanting info about the Model A Ford as they happened to own a briggs Fordor. We were able to spend some time explaining all about the car and look froward to visiting with them to help them to get it running. All in all a wonderful day with great fellowship , great food and new and old friends getting together, Please mark your calender for August 24th, 2013 for next year. See you on Sept 15th (next month) at the dedication of the Model A Museum at Gilmore where I have heard we will be able to drive our Model A's inside the building and take pictures. Of course, the interior will not be finished so next May 2013 we will gather again for the Grand Opening and it will be a wonderful event. So get your Model A items ready to donate or put on display on loan to complete our museum. Ken and Helen

Congratulations to Ken, Ron, Mark and all that helped to put this great swap meet and car show on. It was really a great day, meet a lot of nice Model A people, took a tour of ken's excellent repair garage. I will donate a rebuilt carburetor for the compressor that Ken and others are going to restore and present to the museum. Thanks to all. Dick Hansen
