Default Early license plate info

I'm looking for somebody that might have a little knowledge about early N.H. license plates.I know about the ALPCA website, but I really don't want to join up just to find a little information. Not looking for a value, just to find out what I have.It is a 10X4-1/2 porcelian plate marked 1920 with a number of G-124.The people that had it always said it was a government plate. It is in the green like N.H.plate,but the regular plates in 1920 were painted, not porcelian. It may not even be a N.H. plate,I think we all just assumed that it was.I can't post pictures here, but I do have one.

I don't know, but since no state is listed on the plate, the government plate does make sense.

I think Mike's right. That is the kind of website I've been looking for. What I find interesting is that website shows a 1914 plate with the number,G-124 and my 1920 plate is G-124.Also,the plate came from a home in Manchester N.H.Something else I find interesting is that with a half dozen responses from people that claim to be ALPCA members, none came up with that. They were split between early Vermont and N.H. garage plate. They're also offering between $10.and $50.for it.I'm not selling it,it was a gift from a fellow that I gave some Model A parts to.
