I know exactly what you mean Richard, it's like a pilgrimage to me. My first year was 1968 and we haven't missed one since, 55 years and still going strong. I will admit that the blacktop is getting a lot harder on my knees, but it's better then wading thru ankle deep mud.

Wouldn't miss it for anything. It's funny how the grass and mud hazards have been replaced by motorized hazards like scooters and golf carts. Once these were rare, but now, as the crowd ages, there are lots of them. Only 31 days until it starts! Can't wait.

Anyone else want to share their Hershey space numbers? I walk all the spaces and it would be fun to meet Fordbarner's in person. I don't have a space.

C4J 33-34-35 always have some Ford flathead V-8 speed parts available. Been going rain or shine for almost 40 years now. Man where has the time gone. See everyone there.

It is a very long trip for me, but I arranged my work schedule so I had to be in either Maryland or Pennsylvania on the 1st week of October. I got to attend 20 years in a row starting 1990 on the UW dime, and the last time I was there, I was somewhat disappointed as there were MANY empty stalls and lots of swap stalls used simply for parking. I ended up doing lots of walking and seeing far less stuff then in earlier years. For the 1st 15 years i went, there were really NO stalls either empty or used as a parking space. I am glad to have experienced it when it really was terrific. I would like to know what the percentage of swap stalls actually used to sell is compared to empty or parking this year. Several of the fields that used to be parts for sale like the White and yellow fields were parking my last trip there. At least most if not all is paved now. I hope you have good weather, I have been there when walking in deep mud, snow, rain and have been sun burned but I always found something. To all who are going--good shopping and good luck on the weather. Hope you can still smell chocolate wafting in the air as you walk around.

It's not the same place as it was 20 years ago, but neither am I. It's still fun and good deals still can be found.
I'll be at the Early Ford V8 Club space, right near the Dennis Carpenter tent (assuming they show up this year) on Wednesday from 1 pm to 4 pm. Stop by if you can and say hello.
