Hey Guys, How do I identify a F1 steering box from a F2?

Thanks

48-52 F-1 thru F-3 are the same, unless they've put a larger F-4 box in, Could also be a later box.

48 to 52 uses tapered splines with a nut on the end of the sector. 53 to 60 uses a pitman arm with a pinch bolt at the top similar to the way the king pin is held in the front axle. The 48 to 52 is the better choice in a AV8 because it gives better room around the left rear exhaust port.

What were talking about is F1 vs F100 steering box. They are very different in appearance, there was a recent post on the Barn that had photos of the differences.

f1-worm gear below the sector, f100 worm gear above the sector, when viewed as would be placed in the vehicle

I believe I have a 53 to 60 box. Anyone interested in trading this box for the earlier model? Thank you again for the clarification. You guys are life savers.
