Question about '34 Seat??
I have a '34 five window coupe.
I have a new BOTTOM seat spring that I will be putting new upholstery on. I assume the seat spring assembly should be fastened to some sort of wood frame work or a sheet of plywood. Can anyone show me what this wood frame looks like AND what is the corret thickness of it? Thanks much, Jim Boehmke |

Re: Question about '34 Seat??
This photo is 35 but the 34 appears to be nearly the same construction but different size. From memory the wood is 3/4" thick

Terry and Uptown, many thanks for your help on the seat. I'll go into construction mode tomorrow. Ford Barn to the rescue again!

Re: Question about '34 Seat??
Here are two pictures of my '33 5 window seat. Obviously I've modified the seat, but the metal bottom is original as is the wooden frame for the seat bottom. I did add the center piece of oak in the seat bottom as I'm using foam for the seat support. If you need any dimensions etc., just let me know. BillIMG_8605.jpg
