Talking flathead bog pumper

Hey guys ,looking at a late 30,s flathead motor.Cranberry bogs are big up here .This baby has a PTO on the back. The PTO has a FORD badge on it. It allso has its own stand ,. complete with radiator . The thing is cool . has a chrome panel mounted with two tabs to a couple of head bolts ,where the oil filter would sit . it has a 37 gauge panel with temp ,oil .feul . on top of that are the throttle an choke knobs . I have never seen anything like this. A complete power pack . Has a funky carb on it ,along with a govener . Motor is stuck . have to buy it as is .. no exploring,,, 250.00. I,m thinking the stand is worth that ,never mind what ever carb it has . I,m going to get it sunday, an I,ll post some pictures . ? Is this somthing that FORD put out ? it looks factory !. the guy was going to scrap it but thought it was too nice, I AGREE Thanks for any input ,think my wife will notice it in the celler ,,,,NAHHHHHH

There is a farm here called "the muck" that is in a swamp, next to a drainage project done in 1906. A block building was built with a 6" pump to flood the vegetable fields during the drier summer months, pump them out when there is too much water. 2 Cadillac V8's were put in there and one was used while the second was left in the crate for just in case? Never saw them used, but checked the place out from a boat one spring, neat motors. 2" pipe plumbed straight through the block wall, should sound sweet.
Cabbage by Cadillac, flathead carrots, we don't do it like they used to.

Hi,
I bought an old Ford / Schramm air compressor that came out of a body shop. It is my avatar. Flatheads were used to power just about everything you can think of. Al K.
