Default Screw size at ends of '31 Visor

Does anyone know what size screw (and thread) is used at each end of a late '31 visor. I can't find them in the catalogs. I need to drill out a broken screw on one side and weld in the proper size nut on the other side. Thanks.

Hello Richard, I am really guessing but I think the screws that hold the visors on my 1932 Coupe were #12 by 32 thread. It is not common in todays hardward stores. Contact Roy Nacewicz Enterprises, PO Box 544, Carleton, Michigan 48117, 734 654-9450. He is a fastener supplier for early Ford V8s and his product is excellent. He has the correct sizes, thread types and finishes for 32 and up. Your 31 will have many of the same screws as the 32. Ed

What late '31 has a visor, a pickup? Were not all closed cars made without the visor? Not being a wise ass just want to get is straight.

Thanks for clearing that up for me!

Bratton's Part No. 16830 is a pan-head (thin-head) 12-24 screw, 19/32 long, used for belt rail sides. Do you think that this could be the same used at the ends of the '31 Visor?
