Is the adhesive sent with my kit needed for the side felts or just for the top? Will the side felts stay in position without it? SALTMAN

i used the adhesive on the tops only, There was more than enough tension on the side fasteners to keep them in. They fit very tight and required a lot of tugging to get into their respective groves; however they are rock steady and do not move at all when the windows are rolled up or down.

I used GOOP auto adhesive on my side felts as recommended by the supplier I purchased them from, was easy and holds them in place great.

I test fitted one side piece and they are rather tight in both width and length. Also, the structure of the side pieces are rather 'gooey' which might help prevent them from slipping or coming out. The old ones had no adhesive... therefore, while I certainly understand a need for adhesive on the upper seal, I am choosing NOT to use any of it on the side felts. I suppose I can always glue them should the fail. Unfortunately, the supplier of the kit supplied 'yellow' adhesive... whay do they do that? Respectfully to all responders... the SALTMAN
