Default Vin decoding

Can anyone help me decode the vin on a truck I purchased recently.

The truck is a Fi code does not make sense to me...

Turns out that the stamped Vin on the frame is F1 which it is.... getting the DMV to correct this VIN

The conventional bonus built trucks all share the same basic cab. There are some application differences but they can be worked around. It's not uncommon to find these trucks with replacement cabs due to corrosion or other damages.

I had this same problem with an O/T Corvette. It seems that when it was originally registered, someone had changed an "S" to a "5". I was surprised at how easy it was to have it corrected.
