MAFCA 2016 Convention/speed bump
OK, how many of you guys banged up your expensive Aires mufflers catapulting over that speed bump in front of the Convention center
One video I saw showed what looked like a pickup bouncing over the bump and a shower of sparks flying out from under the vehicle. I couldn't go had a medical issue to take care of. Hopefully there will be photos......... |

Re: MAFCA 2016 Convention/speed bump
I HATE speed bumps! I need a BLACK drivers' suit, a FLAT BLACK D-2 Caterpillar, with a DOZER blade & after the BARS close, I'll FIX them DUDES!---I'll mount a can thet says, "DONATIONS" & a pile thet says, "FREE POTHOLE ASPHALT"--I'll be RICH!

Re: MAFCA 2016 Convention/speed bump
How high was the bump and how fast was the A going?

Re: MAFCA 2016 Convention/speed bump
I wouldn't do that to my Model A.
Did he have a low trailer hitch? I can't imagine anything low enough to make sparks like that. |

Re: MAFCA 2016 Convention/speed bump
Speed bumps ARE god for testing shock action, observe for good recovery & any side to side rocking, that would indicate only 1 bad shock. You can also tell if it's a FRONT or a REAR one. Those SMOOTH dips in the street are also a good shock "tester"!

Re: MAFCA 2016 Convention/speed bump
Kind of a dumb thing to do. Great way to give MAFCA a bad reputation in that community.

Re: MAFCA 2016 Convention/speed bump
He's just having some fun. No harm was done. Not really sure how it would give MAFCA a bad name.
