What does an original 1927 roadster battery access cover look like? The cover plate inside the turtle deck? Is it metal, wood or ?? Thanks

RON, iTS WOOD, JUST LAY A CARDBOAD OVER IT AN LAD DOWN UNDERNEATH AN SCRIBE A LINE ON IT FOR A TIMPLATE.

The battery trap door is metal. Ford part #48110BX. Howells sheetmetal mfg a copy. www.fordor.com
