1932 Hot-Rod Roadster
City:
Bristol
State:
CT.
Price:
SOLD
//SOLD//Very nice 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster - A tribute to the quintessential Deuce hot-rod. 40+ year proven build. Modeled after period hot rods of the 50s and 60s. Flathead 8BA engine with Offy heads and Edelbrock tri-power intake and Stromberg 97s. Walker radiator and Beehive oill filter and headers. 4 speed Chevy Saginaw transmission and open drive 40 rear with early Culver City Halibrand 201 center section. Built on an original Henry frame, boxed, with Pete and Jakes 4 bar set up and X member, etc. 40 Ford brakes and just enough bling to be a hot rod. High quality fiberglass body(Wescott) with Gennie Henry grille and Bonneville style louvered hood. (repop steel bodies were not being made at the time of this build 1977) The body and door fit is spot-on. Traditional upholstery and original roadster top and bows complete the old tyme look. It has the stock cowl vent, wiper, and gauge cluster.
There are many other nuances here to appreciate. Built by a well known NY rod shop owner as his personal car. The value in this alone is priceless. His vision was to do a "Nostalgic" Hot Rod that everyone could relate to. This car has been driven long distances to NY and New England meets and shows. As the underside photos show it is a clean piece, and put together well. It is ready to enjoy. Last edited by GSCOV; Yesterday at 04:39 PM. |
