Re: new owner of a 31 ford
its registered as a 31. I'm curious about the trunk, it sounds like the trunk is more popular then the rumble seat or is it the other way around

Re: new owner of a 31 ford
The splash aprons are 31 the radiator shell in a '30. While rumble seats are more popular thus more common. It seems that a lot of people don't use them as seats and are changing back to trunk for storage.

Re: new owner of a 31 ford
My daughter has my late '30 coupe & it has the 1-piece splash aprons which are correct for the car.

Re: new owner of a 31 ford
That depends on the sale price, no? If it was say $100, knowledge of the real value is irrelevant!

Re: new owner of a 31 ford
Save the trunk. You'll be glad you did. Rumbles are dangerous in today's traffic, and seat belts are hard to install safely and aren't much help in any case. I would convert mine back to a trunk, but removing the cushions has given me almost as much space.

Re: new owner of a 31 ford
Nice looking A.
Don't fret over what you paid besides that lady, being a widow, probably needs a few extra bucks so you helped her out at the same time that you got a nice Model A. Put that behind you and don't look back. Now, time to clean it up, tweak it a bit, and have fun. Buy some books, maybe join a local Model A chapter if one is near you. Also, from what I have been reading, the HAMB is a lot nastier place to post on over there seems like people are attacking each other a lot more than here. Stick with these guys! |

n2oldtin
Paradise Valley Model A Ford Club of San Bernardino is having a swap meet this Sunday, just down the hill from you. It is by the I-215 freeway @ the Little League ball field. This Model A Club is the nearest club to your location. Come to the meet and get acquainted with the Model A people |
