Couldn't help but notice what appears to be some sort of black "goo" on the drivers side wind wing. What is it and why? Always enjoy (some envy) your trips and the pics & videos!! Many thanks and keep on traveling!

Love your stories and pics. Great to have your grandson along. I know he had got a memory he will always cherish. While your pics are great, I think I like the last one, with the crooked line along the side of the road and the utility poles the best. Thanks for sharing.

Which of the pictures do you see it in? I'm not sure what you are referring to.

That picture is taken from the same location and angle as the one above it, just with the camera lens zoomed in to compress things in the distance to closer. In reality, the line doesn't actually appear that crooked nor the road that wavy, as in the previous picture.

In a couple of your videos while you're driving along and panning the left side of the road, the outer edge of the drivers side wind wing appears to have a blackish "goo" line from top to bottom. I was wondering if you had been using something to keep the wind wing from leaking water into the interior??? GREAT stories and pics!!! Thanks for sharing with your grandson and with us!

All of my triangular windows are original and are delaminating along the edges. That's what you're seeing.

Actually, delivered NEW to the U.S. Navy in November 1945.....NOT a 1937 model. Owned and restored by Dave Hansen since 2006. DD

Henry. Great share !! What is the portable tire pump you use? Didn't sound like a hand pump. Did you EVER find the tire leak?

My tire pump is a Schumacher XP750C 750 Peak Amp Instant Portable Power Source that includes the battery jump starter, tire pump, light, and USB charging port (I use that to charge my MP3 player, iPhone, camera, etc. on the road. I also use the tire pump to level the back end of the car with the air shocks when loaded down.) Available on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-XP7.../dp/B004EIAA7C
Also at Walmart: http://www.walmart.com/ip/25955561?w...499312&veh=sem

Yes, in Casper, WY I found a tire store with a dunk tank that found the leak on the outside of the tube caused by something that came through the tire or was caught inside between the tire and tube. Fixed it up and had no more problems.

Thanks professor, your photos and story brought back some great memories for me. I lived in Heber for 7 yrs (81-88) I was working on the strawberry res. water diversion tunnel for the first 2 and stayed when I went to work in the Wyoming oil fields (out of Big Piney) lived on the rig 4 on and 4 off and comutied back and forth. Had some good times back then. Enjoyed the Rockies and Tetons on my Harly D. Thanks again for bringing up some sweet memories. Rowen

Hi Everyone, I'm working my way back east from the Minnesota meet. Stopped in Dearborn for a couple of days, and saw this photo in The Henry Ford museum.

I thought of you.

Another road for my bucket list: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkWAn4rtLa4

Or this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_mTyz-wANY

I'll have to get Old Henry a passport for those.
