Looks simuler to the horn button,although I have never seen one with Ford script .

No, the dimmer coil resister unit is completely different nore part of the horn switch. It looks to be Model T era. While the early Fordson tractor used the same switch as the car, they may have used a more permanent key that wouldn't have fallen out bouncing across the field as the coil box was out in the open.

Checked the Fordson parts book, no go on the Fordson key idea.

may I ask if you have done a continuity test on the posts and if so does it show any resistance?

If you study the Ford name you can see the F is definitely not that of the car maker's logo, the rest is considerably off as well. Perhaps this is from some aftermarket accessory or perhaps an appliance marketed by someone capitalizing on the Ford name.

Open in terms of resistance and effectively no capacitance.
