Greetings from Brisbane, Australia.
Thanks for the admission. A message for my fellow Aussies on here, I'm looking for a Fordson Thames 1948 ET6 or 7 truck, or cab and front clip. My dad was a building contractor and had one, I'd like to get one as a restoration project. I think he tow started it more times than using the starter ;-) He took a memento to the grave of that truck, he got the tops of three fingers cut short by the water pump pulley trying the free it one winters morning.

They shared the same cab with UK Dodges & Fargo's.
They call them, "Parrot noses" or "Kews". |

Re: Greetings from Brisbane, Australia.
J. Franklin, thanks for the welcome.
Manuel, the nic names suit them well. Petehoovie, That is exactly the truck I remember. Myself and a few school mates painted it red and black with a 4" brush. With dad's permission of course. His had a tray back. We used to get to ride it to the local saw mill sometimes, holding on to the head board. His safety brief was, ' You kids, Don't fall off'. ;-) So, my plan is to mount the cab and front clip onto modern running gear, jacked up with big wheels. I'm 65 and have been a purist all my life with restorations, so I feel I'm entitled to one break out ;-) Leads to locate one of these ugly ducklings will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Matt |

Thanks Graeme,
A bit out of my price range, and too 'nice'. Plus there would be the shipping. Hey Mercman, Thanks for the advertising cover, and the welcome. What part of Qld you in? |

Re: Greetings from Brisbane, Australia.
Interesting to see that these kept using a torque tube years after the USA trucks had gone open drive.
