Default 35 pickup park & tail lights

should both front & rear parking lights operate on the same switch ?. My rear light comes on with the headlights but not with the front parking lights. Thought it was wired correctly with the diagram

The light switch has 12 positions and a triangle contact that switches between these positions. Three of the positions do not have electrical connects and are the off position. The remaining 9 positions are divided into groups of 3 contacts. One group of three are all connected together and are the power in and brake group. A second group of three is the tail light group and are also all connected together and include the tail lights and instrument lights. The last group of three are individual contacts consisting of Parking, Low Beams & High Beams.

The first group of connecters (the Battery/Power group) is hot all the time. The second group (the Tail Light group) are powered in any position other than off. And the last set of contacts receive power only when each one is individually selected.

If your tail lights are not coming on in the parking position there must be a problems with the movable selector inside the lighting switch not making contact in that position.
