I have an original Riley log style, but Charlie Yapp made a plenum style for his Riley 2 port reproduction. The repro manifold from Yapp is called the Equalizer, takes two 3 bolt carbs and I think is still available. There are differences between the Riley and stock Model A bolt hole spacing for the manifold, but the Equalizer is machined for both.
The manifold I have has 1 5/8 intake ports and the carburetor flanges are sized for 1 7/8 Winfield CC carbs. Center to center of the intake port bolt holes is 2 11/16 and stock c-c is 3 1/8. I mention all this because I believe you have a Riley 2 Port but don't know for sure.

Is this the intake that you are asking about ?
I don't think that it is made like this anymore. This one is over a decade old and maybe the first made, as back when I 'got ahold' of this one, none were available for sale yet.
There is an un-machined carcass that can be adapted/welded for updraft, I think ? There is an 'equalizer' name on the manifold, but not like the one pictured here. I might be wrong, so contact C. Yapp for the final word on availability

BTW..the BIG selling point was made that this intake...'has an equalizer plenum' built into it' !

The manifold is still produced, but without the RiLEY name on it, as Rick mentioned above. Originally marketed with his reproduction Riley 2 Port heads I think he changed the name to Equalizer when the repro heads sold out. BTW Charlie Yapp marked his Riley stuff with the small i to differentiate it from original Riley parts.

To fit the "Equalizer" intake with a stock exhaust manifold requires some machine work to clear the side valve cover and exhaust manifold . . . AND the mount feet must be cut straight down through the middle of the four OUTER holes to make them like "crow's feet".

That or the down draft that Early Ford Store still has not removed from their Website.

Hardtimes,
Looking at your picture I see no linkage going to the rear carburetor. Are you only using one?

Thread is pushing 8 years old.

Dual Strombergs have linkage on the other side.
