Default New toy to play with this year!

I found a good condition 31 Town Sedan recently. Brought it home a week ago and haven't had any time to fool with it. The entire running gear is supposed to have been gone through. The body is in great shape, supposedly came from Nevada, so no rust. Most of the bodywork will be on the front fenders, very few dents anywhere else. Hopefully I will get going on this thing in a couple of weeks and have color on it before it gets cold!

Thanks! The last one I fixed up came from VA Beach area. The salt water air had not been kind to it after 90 years. I'm looking forward to working on this project!

Nice! Hopefully mine will look that good next year! Mine came with new tires on nicely painted cream wheels so I'm thinking of going with maroon or blue.

That's true! Luckily my better half hasn't started fussing yet! Lol. I enjoy driving my cars but I think I enjoy bringing them back to life just as much! Something about starting with a pile of parts and ending up with a nice vehicle is fun!

I'll go along with that. Bringing the hulk of an old car back to life is a satisfying undertaking, then comes the driving and the making of friends while doing both. I really don't know why more people don't do it.

@Synchro909 I don't know why more people don't try either. I grew up with a dad that did bodywork old school with lead so you really had to work the metal to get it straight and smooth. Fortunately now it doesn't take quite that level of skills to make a nice driver so it opens the door for others to give it a go. My cars aren't perfect but I'm proud to drive them and say "I did that!"
